The balloon sleeves are volume that the camera loves — let them fall naturally and resist the urge to push them back. Keep the arms elevated whenever possible; raised arms reactivate the sleeve shape. Weight on one hip, opposite arm up. The corset structure will hold the bodice line — you do not need to hold tension in your core.

The structural integrity of this gown depends entirely on the boning placement and the bow-tie cutout construction — if either is compromised by poor sizing, the entire silhouette collapses. The sleeve attachment at the corset shoulder seam is the highest-stress point; reinforce with a second seam allowance. The satin weight must be at least 120gsm for the skirt to hold the A-line flare rather than collapsing flat.

The exposed décolletage means foundation continuity from face to chest is essential — match exactly and set with the same powder. The puff sleeve frames the face like a structural halo; brows must be defined or the face disappears into the garment. This colour temperature calls for a warm-leaning neutral or berry base, never a cool muted nude. Lip staying power is critical — use lip liner to base-fill before lipstick application.

Steam is the single most important prep step — budget satin wrinkles from folding and shows every crease at this scale. The midriff bow must be tied on-model, not pre-tied; adjust for the individual torso. Confirm the cup placement is centred before shooting. Shoe height is non-negotiable: minimum 2.5" to maintain leg proportion through the slit.
